Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross has announced he will resign from his post.
Ross said he had "taken the difficult decision" to stand down after "careful consideration".
He will continue in the role until a successor is elected.
Ross said he believed it was the "right time" for him to step down and that he would continue to serve his constituents as an MSP.
He said: "I have loved every minute of leading the Scottish Conservatives and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together."
"However, I believe that the time is now right for me to step aside and allow someone else to take the party forward."
"I would like to thank everyone who has supported me during my time as leader and I wish the party all the best for the future."
