Police Investigate After Body Found in Brisbane Bushland

Police are investigating after the body of a young woman was found in a bushland reserve in Deception Bay, north of Brisbane, on Saturday morning.

The body was discovered by a member of the public who was walking their dog.

The woman's body was found in bushland off Bayview Terrace at around 10am.

Police said the woman, 24, had been reported missing from the area on Friday night.

The cause of her death is not yet known, but police do not believe it is suspicious.

Investigators are treating the death of the woman as unexplained and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area on Friday night or Saturday morning to contact them.

Deception Bay Police Beat Acting Senior Sergeant Chris Watson said anyone with dashcam footage of Bayview Terrace or the surrounding streets should also contact police.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers or their local police station.
