Famed Singer Releases Statement Condemning Trump's Campaign Rally Usage

Dion's Management Team: "Unacceptable and Disrespectful"

Canadian singer CĂ©line Dion has released a statement condemning former President Donald Trump for using her iconic "My Heart Will Go On" at a campaign rally in Montana without her permission. The statement, issued by her management team, called Trump's use of the song "unacceptable and disrespectful."

"We are writing to express our deep dissatisfaction with the unauthorized use of 'My Heart Will Go On' by Donald Trump at his Montana rally on August 27," the statement read. "This song is a cherished and beloved part of our work, and we did not give permission for it to be used in this manner."

The statement went on to say that Dion's team "has reached out to Trump's campaign team to express our concerns. We expect that he will cease using the song immediately."

Dion's statement comes amid a growing backlash against Trump's use of music without artists' permission. Several other musicians, including Rihanna, the Rolling Stones, and Aerosmith, have also condemned Trump for using their songs at campaign rallies.
