Early Life and College Career
Chase Claypool was born on July 7, 1998, in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. He played high school football at Abbotsford Senior Secondary School and committed to the University of Notre Dame to play college football.
At Notre Dame, Claypool emerged as a standout wide receiver. In his senior season, he recorded 66 receptions for 1,037 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was named First Team All-ACC and Second Team All-American by several organizations.
NFL Draft
Claypool entered the 2020 NFL Draft as a highly touted prospect. He was widely considered to be one of the top wide receivers available and was projected to be a first-round pick.
